This programme is to provide students with an opportunity to explore an area of interest in tourism with a special interest in Human Resource Management. Graduates will understand that the customer is at the heart of any tourism business, and learn the importance of staff issues in serving these customers. The core programme provides an applied understanding of the theories and concepts of tourism and general business and management disciplines, especially Human Resource Management. Students will develop critical, analytical, evaluative and reflective abilities alongside their interpersonal and communication skills. Students will also develop organisational and business skills that take into account the diversity of cultures involved in global industries and learn skills such as policy formulation and planning for the future to successfully manage and motivate staff.
This programme is accredited in Edinburgh Napier University by the Institute of Hospitality.

This programme can be completed in 16 months (without Honours) or in 24 months (with Honours).
Students will be required to complete the following:
- 6 modules each in Year 2 and 3
- 4 modules plus dissertation (equivalent to 2 modules) in Year 4 (Honours)
